A Day In Black & White

Here are some photos of my new home. It’s called Waterloo, and it’s a cold place in winter. This weekend we enjoyed highs of about minus 20 degrees Celsius. Of course I did the only logical thing and wandered around in the snow to take a couple of pictures. Enjoy!

Picture this: You spend several months where every day you wake up in a strange place. You’re surrounded by new and interesting things to experience and new and interesting people to meet. Every day is a new adventure. Your life is amazing. Those things “normal” people deal with, like jobs, family and university, like the daily grind, all that stuff is several continents away from you and barely even registers in your mind. Then the bubble bursts.

This is a tribute to an old friend of mine whom I only just learned has passed away. He was one of the most creative, unique, talented and just generally likeable people I have met. His name was Jared Pritchard.
