Waterloo keyboard rockers Kidstreet have a new record out Fuh Yeah, and I was along to celebrate its release at their hometown album launch at Starlight.
Openers Pick A Piper, of “the drummer from Caribou” fame, blasted the night off with their energetic percussive stylings. It was a great set, but sadly not enough to get the crowd dancing. That didn’t happen till Kidstreet took to the stage. This was the first time I’d seen Kidstreet after a few word of mouth recommendations, and I have to say they put on a great show. It was tight, fun, and energetic. The sort of music that makes you want to throw back a few gin and tonics and get sweaty on the dance floor too. It was a shame I was filming.
