Somethings one thing leads to another, and before you know it you haven’t updated your website for four years. So in the last four years, in between the exciting and mundane moments of just generally living life, I also managed to get a PhD, go to a lot of gigs, do a bit of backpacking, neglect my camera (except when travelling), and most recently I’ve moved from Canada to New York City.
To kick this website off again, here are some of my favourite photos I took from a backpacking trip to Central America around this time last year. The highlight of that trip was doing an overnight hike up the Acatenango volcano in Guatamala, and getting a perfect view of Fuego erupting at night. It was definitely one of the most impressive sights I’ve ever seen!
Since I’ve moved to NYC I’ve been taking advantage of the seemingly infinite supply of gigs, and after getting a feel for some of the venues over the last 9 months I’ve decided to dust off my camera and start filming bands again. In the next couple of days I’ll be uploading some footage from Beach Slang’s album release show at Rough Trade, and after that I have some footage from Bear Vs. Shark’s rowdy return from a 10 year hiatus at The Market Hotel. Stay tuned!
